Huskers add offensive lineman days after he decommitted from Oregon Sate

Must read

Just days after decommitting from Oregon State, an offensive lineman has announced his commitment to the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Brian Tapu announced his decommitment from Oregon State on Wednesday night.

I have decommitted from Oregon State. I wish nothing but the best for the coaches and family there. I am thankful for what you guys have done for me and my parents. I appreciate everything and hope nothing but the best for the coaches, players and your guys season.

The prospect went on to say that his commitment was nothing more than a mistake.

Ah just gotta say it wasn’t for money or any kinda investment. Just a mistake and I’m still learning. Had a talk with one of the coaches which is a family member and he understands. Also leave my family alone. People dm me saying this and that. Talk to me in person. If not… then don’t.

The 6-foot-8, 300-pound offensive lineman from Leyton West High School in Leyton, Utah, is the first man in the trenches for the Husker’s class of 2025. The announcement now brings the recruiting class to 12 commitments in total.
